Le poste

The Role:

Ziina is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer, Infrastructure & Developer Experience to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to shape the foundation that every Ziina engineer builds on: the infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability systems that keep our rapidly growing fintech platform fast, reliable, and easy to develop. We're at a major inflection point in our growth, with real multi-region and low-latency challenges at scale, and we're looking for the right person to drive the technical excellence that makes scaling possible.

As part of a small, agile team, our ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with the vision to build from the ground up and the skill to own systems end-to-end. You'll thrive in our fast-paced environment by making tradeoffs and focusing on high-impact solutions. We're looking for someone who is as ambitious as we are to deliver high-quality products to our users. In short, we want owners who are ready to build big things with us.

As a Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure) at Ziina you will:

  • Build and own scalable, reliable infrastructure that supports high-performance applications across multiple regions

  • Own and continuously improve our CI/CD pipelines and release workflows so that shipping is fast, safe, and predictable

  • Implement infrastructure as code and automation across all environments to ensure consistency and reduce manual toil

  • Improve system observability, monitoring, and incident response so problems are caught early and resolved quickly

  • Reduce operational overhead and improve platform stability as we scale

  • Enable engineering teams through reliable, efficient platform systems and self-service tooling

To succeed in this role, you likely:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE, with a strong focus on infrastructure and developer experience

  • Have deep expertise with cloud services (ideally AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi

  • Are proficient with containerization and orchestration — Docker, Kubernetes — and understand microservices architecture

  • Have hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, or similar)

  • Are comfortable with on-call responsibilities and have a track record of improving incident response practices

  • Use the latest AI tools and technologies to boost your productivity

  • Are based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE

What would amaze us:

  • Proven experience building infrastructure for fintech or other high-reliability, high-throughput platforms

  • A track record of tackling real scaling problems — reducing latency, improving resilience, or operating multi-region systems

  • History of building platform and developer experience tooling that measurably boosted engineering velocity

  • Successful leadership in major infrastructure evolution, including architectural transitions, migrations, or multi-region rollouts

  • Active engagement in the tech community through open source contributions, conference speaking, or technical writing

Our tech stack:

We’ve built a modular architecture with the principles of reliability, scalability, and maintainability in mind. Our current stack is:

  • Typescript, Node.js and Nest.js for our main application’s backend.

  • Swift/SwiftUI for our iOS app, Kotlin for our Android app.

  • Next.js, React and Typescript for our web applications.

  • GraphQL Federation for our client-facing APIs and Kafka for our inter-service communication.

  • PostgresSQL for consistent and durable storage, Redis for quick fetching, Elasticsearch for quick searching.

  • AWS for hosting our cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes for orchestrating our workloads.

  • Terraform for IaC.

  • Github Actions for CI/CD.
