The Role

Ziina is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our Platform team and help build the internal tools that power our operations.

You will improve and extend the tools our teams use today while helping us gradually bring our back-office platform in-house. This includes understanding complex operational processes, integrating with our existing third-party solution, and building intuitive workflows that enable teams to operate safely and efficiently.

As our team is small, our ideal candidate is a creative thinker who enjoys understanding how a business operates and translating ambiguous requirements into reliable software. They can move quickly, clearly articulate tradeoffs, and independently own features from discovery through production.

We are ambitious about building internal platforms that scale with the company, and we’d love to bring on someone who shares that ambition.

As a Full-Stack Engineer on the Platform team at Ziina, you will:

• Collaborate with operations, compliance, risk, customer support, product, and engineering teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for better tooling and automation.

• Improve and extend the workflows supported by our existing third-party back-office solution, including building the integrations and supporting services it requires.

• Help define and incrementally build Ziina’s in-house back-office platform, taking features from discovery and design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.

• Turn complex operational processes into intuitive and reliable experiences with appropriate permissions, safeguards, and auditability.

• Establish consistent patterns for internal interfaces and service integrations, while ensuring critical workflows are tested, monitored, and resilient to failure.

To succeed in this role, you likely:

• Have 4+ years of full-stack development experience and are comfortable working across web applications, APIs, backend services, and relational databases.

• Enjoy understanding operational workflows and solving problems for internal users.

• Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous requirements and can independently drive work forward.

• Balance delivery speed with security, reliability, and maintainability.

• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical collaborators and demonstrate high integrity and a team-first mindset.

• Are based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE.

What would amaze us

• Deep proficiency with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with strong experience building backend services using Node.js and Nest.js.

• Experience building internal tools, administrative platforms, operational dashboards, or workflow-management systems.

• Experience designing permissions, approval workflows, audit logs, and other controls for sensitive operations.

• Experience with GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and event-driven or asynchronous workflows.

• An AI-forward mindset, with experience using AI-assisted development tools and applying AI to simplify or automate operational workflows.

• TypeScript, Node.js, Nest.js, Next.js, and React.

• GraphQL Federation and Kafka.
